Bring your WiFi-enabled laptop, and be ready for a hands-on, entry-level practical workshop.
We'll teach you the basics of three Web 2.0/social media tools that can improve your personal and professional life:
When you register, we will ask a few questions about your own Web 2.0 background, so that the workshop is focused at the right level. We are limiting class size to 25 people, for the most personalized interaction. Attendees will each receive a USB flash/thumb drive that is preloaded with helpful Web 2.0 links and guidance.
Following the workshop, we'll continue the discussion informally over lunch at a nearby restaurant, for those who are interested. The Every Dot Connects team is also available on LinkedIn, Twitter, our blog and elsewhere online to help you navigate social media.
Use your major credit card to register online through PayPal. We do offer a group rate of $99/person if three or more from one company or organization would like to register together.
Your guides are Jennifer Navarrete and Sheila Scarborough.
Jennifer has been a tech entrepreneur since 2001 and is active in numerous social media communities. She is the lead organizer of Podcamp, Startup Weekend and Barcamp in San Antonio, and is the co-host of the popular Morning BrewCast Internet radio/podcast show.
Sheila is a writer, speaker and consultant specializing in travel, NHRA drag racing and Web 2.0/social media. She writes for five different blogs and is also a certified Navy Master Training Specialist, with many years of experience as a classroom instructor.
Every Dot Connects is a social media consortium, a group of independent media practitioners who are passionate about using new technologies to build bridges between people and ideas and causes.
